Navigation is one of the greatest challenges of this premier wine region, which is not to imply that the area lacks informative road signs. Too often, visitors do not stray past the parking lots along Napa Valley’s Highway 29 or Silverado Trail. Or they make unwise choices on accommodations and dining due to the over-abundance of options. Or they miss out on the best towns like Healdsburg and the most scenic areas, like the Sonoma Coast, Alexander Valley and Russian River Valley. The bottom line is that a well-organized vacation itinerary for this destination requires careful planning.

Our extended team has years of experience hosting area visitors. We can escort your group to hidden-gem wineries and introduce you to small production Cabernet, Chardonnay, Zin and Pinot that will beguile you. You will meet the winemakers and hear their stories, while getting the inside scoop on future cult wine classics. We also stand ready to call on any number of winery chefs to produce a myriad of culinary possibilities. Additionally, we will help you navigate the many options for area accommodations.

The Napa and Sonoma areas have more to offer than just wine—good golf is available, too. In our view, the best in the area is found at the The Sonoma Golf Club, a classic parkland course dating back to the 1920’s. The club is private, but accessible and currently the host of the The Charles Schwab Cup Championship, the PGA Champions Tour season finale.

If more modern layouts are to your liking, you should consider Eagle Vines Golf Club, an upscale public course designed by PGA Tour great Johnny Miller. Eagle Vines is a strict test of over 7,200 yards from the back tees as it traverses vineyards and wildlife habitat. It tends to be engulfed in early morning fog, so we might want to reserve a slightly later tee time. This is solid golf with few blind shots. We would have expected nothing less from the one-and-only Johnny Miller.
