|
Day One: Arrival to Shannon. Meet your driver for the 2hr transfer to Killarney. Afternoon at leisure at your hotel, or
perhaps you would like to have a “Welcome-to-Ireland” pint at a local pub. Accommodations: The Ross Hotel, a stylish
and very popular boutique hotel located in the heart of Killarney.
Optional Upgrade to The Killarney Park Hotel, a traditionally-styled 5 star property that is the CORK & TEE favorite in
Killarney, a tourist-oriented town and gateway to the beautiful Southwest of Ireland. |
|
Day Two: Transfer 50min for morning golf at Tralee, arguably one of Arnold Palmer’s finest designs anywhere.
Return transfer 50min to Killarney for afternoon golf at Killarney/Killeen, the lush, parkland design nestled beside
Killarney National Park. Accommodations: The Ross Hotel |
|
Day Three: Transfer 1hr 40min to Waterville for golf. Situated just off the Ring of Kerry, Waterville has been an Irish
golf mainstay since its founding in 1889; however, a rework has transformed it into a modern masterpiece. Return
transfer 1hr 40min to Killarney. In the evening you will relish a private, Irish Whiskey Tasting Experience with Padraig,
to be held at his family-run restaurant and bar, where you will sample a range of premium whiskeys and learn about the
history and methods of Irish Whiskey making. It doesn’t get more authentic than this! Accommodations: The Ross
Hotel |
|
Day Four: Transfer 1hr 15min for 18 holes of golf at Ballybunion on the Old Course, a “must play” for the course
collector and the one course that Tom Watson considers the finest in the world. After golf, continue 1hr (including the
Tarbert Ferry) to Doonbeg. Accommodations: The Lodge at Doonbeg, Doonbeg Resort, the incredible and relativelynew
seaside resort that is well deserving of rave reviews. Four-bedroom Links Cottage specified.
Note: Accommodations here are essentially single occupancy—each person will have his/her own bedroom in a
4-bedroom Links Cottage |
|
Day Five: Golf at Doonbeg Golf Club, the modern classic designed by Greg Norman. You may wish to enjoy
afternoon fishing on property or another adventure/cultural group activity on the stunning Clare coastline.
Accommodations: The Lodge at Doonbeg |
|
Day Six: Golf at Lahinch/Old Course, another “must play” for the Irish course collector that is so old that it was
actually renovated by Alister Mackenzie. Perhaps you would like to take in an afternoon visit to the Cliffs of Kilkee, a
scenic wonder on the west coast. Accommodations: The Lodge at Doonbeg |
|
Day Seven: Transfer 45min to Shannon airport for departure. |
